JORDAN CLUB ALUMNI CELEBRATE KRAFT'S NEW ROLE AT
BGCB
The Jordan Alumni couldn't let their
fearless leader and mentor, Josh Kraft, transition out of
the Club and into his new position without marking the
occasion. The group got together and planned a special
surprise. The alumni presented Josh with
a framed photo of themselves taken in front of the
Housing Development where Josh helped launch the Boys &
Girls Club in Chelsea 15 years ago.

CHARLESTOWN ALUMNI
ASSOCIATION HOSTS EVENTS FOR "CLUB KIDS" OF ALL
AGES
The
Charlestown Club has been abuzz with Alumni activities in
recent months. On Thursday, May 8, 2008, Club members
from years past stopped by for a Club tour and light
refreshments prior to the Charlestown Old Schoolboys' Annual
Dinner. The alumni, the youngest of whom is 50 years young,
enjoyed meeting some of today's members and checking out
the Club's Putnam Performing Arts Center, which they
remembered as having been the Club's swimming pool. The good
old days were alive and well for a few hours on Green
Street.
Not to be outdone, the Charlestown Young Alumni hosted
an event for Club Alumni and Friends at the Ironside Grill in
Charlestown on Sunday, July 13, 2008. The group got together
to watch the Red Sox take on and defeat the Baltimore Orioles.
During the game the group reminisced about summers at the
Club, their families and friends, and of course got caught up
on events in each other's lives. The event raised more than
$800 for the Club. A special thank you to all who came to both
events!

SOUTH BOSTON ALUMNI REFUSE TO BE RAINED
OUT
The South Boston Young
Alumni turned out in force on Saturday, June 28th
for their 35 & Under Co-ed Softball Game. Despite the wet
field, cloudy skies and a last-minute change in venue,
a fantastic time was had by all. Ever the
resourceful bunch, the group turned the softball game at
M street park into a wiffleball game in the Club
gym. Good thing Tim Bothwell had his
keys!

MEET NAYQUAN
ROBINSON
Yawkey
Club alumnus Nayquan Robinson isn't your typical 20-year-old.
He is both soft spoken and, at times
rambunctious. His dazzling smile is a good
indicator of his positive outlook on life.
In a few short weeks he will begin his junior
year at the prestigious Tuskegee University in Alabama. He is
a Political Science major, who helped re-establish the
Thurgood Marshall Debate Society at Tuskegee. While all of
this sounds impressive, it really doesn't surprise
those who have known this the former Keystone and Debate
Club member since he first joined the Club at the age of 10.
