Materials provided by the HASI Learning Support Program provide age appropriate activities that support and complement the school day experience.
Beginning May 1st, this group will be taking African dance lessons (Thursdays)
This group will also be taking music lessons with in the next 2 weeks.
1st & 2nd Graders
Artist in residence provides a math support program as well as historic explorations (Mondays)
Artist in residence provides a storytelling and dance program (Tuesdays) that support reading and comprehension
A LEAH mentor comes in every Monday and Wednesday. On Wednesday, they help implement program and activities provided by the Children’s Museum.
Every Thursday, high school students come in and interact with members either through art or reading activities
3rd Graders
Every Monday and Wednesday a LEAH mentor comes in. On Wednesday, the mentor helps implement the Urban Ecology program
Artist in residence provides a cartooning program which involves art and character development and developing short story ideas.
4th & 5th Graders
Artist in residence provides African dance on Wednesdays
TORCH club members are putting together two fundraising activities. The first one is selling ice-cream during a school week in May to support the Jimmy Fund, and the other is by walking to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Members also plan on doing some community work during the Boston Shines event on April 26th.
