At BGCB’s 114th Annual Meeting on December 4, Jon Davis was voted in as Chair-Elect. Current Chair of the Board, Sandy Edgerley will serve through November 2010, when Jon Davis will become Chair. In addition, four new member of the Board of Directors and 18 new Overseers were elected.

Partnering with the Blue Hill Club, the Nexus Alliance made Thanksgiving brighter for nearly 800 families in Dorchester with a free turkey give-away on November 23 and a free Thanksgiving dinner for Club members and their families on November 25.

For 115 years, BGCB has stayed focused on its mission to serve youth. Our mission has not changed, but we have updated the language we use to describe it.

What if all children grew up knowing that they have the strength within themselves to change their destiny? Could we break the cycle of despair, addiction, abuse and violence? That is the goal of a new BGCB partnership that is helping young people understand the impact of their daily choices and their connection to a world bigger than themselves.
