Dear Friends,
As we begin a new fiscal year on July 1, we celebrate the close of a year of successful events that helped us raise the funds necessary to serve more than 14,000 children and teens in 10 Clubs and through YouthConnect. On July 5, camp begins at six of our Clubs and will already be underway at Camp Harbor View, and we are looking forward to a great summer of activities and memories for the 3,000 youth we will serve. We will be providing nearly 300 jobs to teens, helping to ensure that their summer provides a sense of responsibility and structure to keep them off the streets, safe, and productive.
Some of our staff will spend the summer planning for a new Shared-Space Club opening in Roxbury in the fall (check our web site for details in August). Our new Orchard Gardens Club will serve members currently served at our Dearborn School Club, as well as other youth ages 8-14 who live in the Orchard Gardens Housing Development.
As we mark this annual transition from the after-school program to camp, we want to say thank you to all of our friends and supporters whose generosity makes our work possible, and whose investment in the youth we serve is making a tremendous difference in their lives.
Wishing you a safe and fun summer,
Josh Kraft

Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston is proud to announce that the 7th Annual House Party will be hosted by Linda Pizzuti Henry and John Henry. The announcement was celebrated at an event on June 22 at the Boston Public Library, underwritten by Holly Safford and The Catered Affair. At House Party each year, BGCB's supporters and friends gather for cocktails, dinner and dancing under a large tent in the backyard of a private home. The spectacular annual May event raises critical support for BGCB's Clubs and programs.
