The Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club/George Robert White Youth Development Center is giving youth a constructive forum for expressing their views as it begins the second year of its interactive internet radio show. The show, called B&G Hot Talk, launches in early February with a crew composed entirely of Club members. Visitors will be able to hear archived shows 24 hours a day or live from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. via a link on www.bgcb.org.
The Blue Hill Club internet radio initiative engages youth, ages 10 to 18, in peer-to-peer discussions on issues such as challenging life situations, and how to deal with specific social situations. B&G Hot Talk also will feature inspiring music composed by Club members, online contests, live radio feeds from Club events and much more.
“We hope to create an online community where youth can safely express themselves, and to engage BGCB alumni and donors in the day-to-day Club experience,” said Corey Stallings, Blue Hill Club Technology Director, who will produce the show exclusively from the Club’s Computer Clubhouse.
