In 2007, we served nearly 14,000 youth, ages 6 to 18. More than 7,000 are Club members; more than 6,000 others are engaged through our programs, partnerships and events. Males comprise 55% of youth served, with females at 45%.
We serve a diverse youth population that is 45% African-American, 25% Latino/Hispanic, 23% Caucasian, 1% Asian, and 6% multi-racial or other. 56% of members are between
6 and 12 years of age.
During the school year, 50% of members visit a Club at least twice per week; 25% visit at least three times per week.
44%* of members responding to our survey have a reported family income under $27K and 56%** do not live with both parents.
