Well-designed spaces for young children provide a positive environment for learning and growth, while inviting and specifically designated spaces for teens are essential if we are to attract and engage older youth in positive youth development activities. We invest in our facilities to ensure that they remain safe, welcoming, accessible and affordable to families in need.
We have opened 9 Clubs in communities where the need is greatest. Our Clubs across Boston and in Chelsea reflect the communities in which they are located. Some are free-standing facilities; some share space with middle and elementary schools. It is not the type of building that makes them Clubs, but the quality of the staff and the effectiveness of the programs that take place within them.
