BGCB’s Summer Program serves youth ages 6 to 18, with separate programs for teens and for younger children. All programs are designed to keep young people off the streets, to educate them during the non-school months, and to provide recreational experiences to which they might not otherwise have access. In 2007, the Summer Program at BGCB served nearly 3,500 children and teens.
Keane Children's Center
2008 Summer Day Camp
Age: 6-12 year olds
Gender: Co-Ed
Mini-camp: Jun 30, July 1-3
Cost is $50 for mini-camp.
Session 1: July 7 – 18
Session 2: July 21 – Aug. 1
Session 3: Aug 4 – Aug 15
Hours: 9 – 4 p.m.
Extended hours: 8 – 9 a.m. and 4 – 5:30 p.m.
$150 per session with $50 non-refundable deposit, $100 per session for additional children in same family. Extended hours is $50 per session.
2008 Teen Summer Camp
Age: 12-14 year olds
Gender: Co-Ed
Session 1: July 7 – 18
Session 2: July 21 – Aug. 1
Session 3: Aug 4 – Aug 15
Hours: 9 – 4 p.m.
The cost is $175 per session. Teens can earn up to $75 back based on attendance, participation, behavior, etc.
