Boys and Girls Club of Boston

School-year programming only. Parents/guardians are expected to pick up members in the Main Office of the Mattahunt Elementary School everyday by 5:30 p.m.

Program Highlights:

Enrichment activities: Dance, cooking, newspaper classes, sports and fitness, and swimming are offered.

TERC: Members learn about the human body with various themes.

Social Justice: Members learn about service projects and how they can make a difference around issues such as poverty, homelessness, government and civics, and pollution.

Power Hour: A comprehensive homework help program, POWER HOUR is designed to raise the academic proficiency of members.

Club Offerings

Cafeteria, classrooms, handicapped accessible, library, outdoor basketball courts, outdoor play area, security system.

Each year, the Mattahunt Club offers its members a variety of academic and enrichment clubs and activities based on member interests and needs.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Mattahunt Club is to provide a safe, nurturing, and challenging after-school environment where children develop skills necessary to become leaders and active citizens. Our program seeks to “mirror the out-of-school time with the in-school time.” By offering multifaceted educational curricula including arts, team building, physical activities, interactive science, community and citizenship, and academic support, our children are provided with many opportunities for educational, emotional, physical, and social expression and development.
