After ten years with Boston Boys & Girls Club, I am honored to assume the role of Executive Director at the new Orchard Gardens Club at the Orchard Gardens Community Center. This new shared space Club will allow us to serve more youth, ages 8-14, in the Roxbury community. Our goal is to offer a positive and safe after-school environment where members are provided the resources and opportunities to become productive members of society. I am working with my staff to create programming for the 2011-12 school year in the areas of art, education, leadership, life skills, sports and recreation, and technology. In addition, I plan to strengthen existing community partnerships as well as develop new relationships with local youth organizations. I look forward to working closely with Club members and parents as we embark on a new journey.
