School Vacation Week 2009 - Art Projects
Ten 11-year-olds made paper-machie masks and friendship bracelets during the February vacation at the Yawkey Club of Roxbury.

First Bloom Club – This program is sponsored by the National Park Foundation and seeks to connect kids to nature through hands-on learning with planting and gardening projects. The Yawkey Club is currently working with the Boston African-American National Historic Site and the Boston Nature Center.
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Morse Library Visit
Club members visited the Morse Library room at the Museum of Fine Arts, where the museum stores 80% of its original collections. Members are making books and studied the artwork for inspiration. Click on the thumbnails below for a larger view.
Summer 2008 Art Projects
During the 2008 Yawkey Summer "Camp Jubilee" campers learned many different artistic techniques, such as lantern making, linoleum block printing and how to design a periscope. Campers also took field trips to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, an official partner of BGCB. Click on the thumbnails below to see a larger view of some of these projects.
Computer Clubhouse Projects
