Our Clubs 

BGCB’s Summer Program serves youth ages 6 to 18, with separate programs for teens and for younger children. All programs are designed to keep young people off the streets, to educate them during the non-school months, and to provide recreational experiences to which they might not otherwise have access. In 2006, the Summer Program at BGCB served nearly 3,500 children and teens.

Year-round the teen center at the Yawkey Club of Roxbury provides activities to ensure exposure to new ideas, information, places and relationships. Recreation activities include access to pool tables, chess, ping pong, wide screen TV, computers with internet access, foosball, board games, movies, X-Box, Playstation 2 and more. Summer membership is free for teens.

Summer camp is scheduled for July 7, 2008—August 22, 2008.

All applications and forms may be dropped off on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays
between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Club.

Your completed application must include:

  • $140.00 non-refundable Camp deposit

  • Completed and signed summer food service application

  • Immunization and annual physical record print-out from the child’s physician

  • First aid and emergency medical care consent form

  • Birth Certificate

You must attend one of two scheduled summer camp orientation meeting:

May 29, 2008 6 p.m.-8 p.m.   or    June 7, 2008  10 a.m.-noon

Application Deadlines

Payments for July due by May 2, 2008.

Payments for August due by May 30, 2008.

2008 Summer Camp Hours:

Camp Jubilee

Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 

Before care at 7:15 a.m.-8:30 a.m.

Aftercare from 4:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m.

2008 Teen Summer Hours: 

Monday to Thursday from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.,                          

Friday from 6 p.m. – 12 midnight

Saturday from 6 p.m. - 12 midnight
