Across our city, at-risk youth need safe places to spend after-school hours, caring adults who can serve as role models, and affordable programming that helps them gain confidence and acquire skills.
Our 11 Clubs in Boston and Chelsea reflect the communities in which they are located. Some are free-standing facilities; five share space with middle and elementary schools; and one is in a public housing development. Our YouthConnect program places licensed, clinical social workers at police stations to provide prevention and intervention services and referrals to the city’s high-risk youth and their families. BGCB also operates Camp Harbor View, located on Long Island in Boston Harbor, for ages 11 to 14.
Club membership fees provide access to all age-appropriate programs and services offered by our Clubs. YouthConnect is a free service. Summer camp programming has a separate enrollment fee.
Important note about wait lists:
In order to maintain our high standards of safety and effective program delivery in our Clubs and at our Camps, we sometimes use wait lists. For information about membership availability at particular Clubs or for specific age groups, please contact the Clubs directly.
