Facilities Rental

Summary Information

BGCB offers affordable rental space for corporate or private events at several facilities in Boston and Chelsea.  All rentals (one-time and extended) require signed legal agreements in form acceptable to BGCB.  See specific contractual agreement for all provisions and requirements.  The following information should be considered only in conjunction with the full text of BGCB’s Facility Rental Agreement.

Standard rental rates:

Auditoriums:              $125/hour

Gymnasiums:             $100/hour; with trained staff for rock wall and 

                                    ropes course use: $150/hour

Pools:                         $150/hour, includes one lifeguard (up to 20 people)*

Game Rooms:             $75/hour

Technology Rooms:    $100/hour, includes one trained staff

Recording studios:     $125/hour, includes one trained staff

                                     (available at some locations)

Classrooms, conference rooms:    $75/hour

*Use of pool requires 1 lifeguard per 20 participants in addition to other staff on site, as arranged with BGCB contact person.

Extended rentals can be arranged though annual leases.  Extended rates approximate $25-35/hour for gymnasiums or auditoriums, based on rentals of 6 or more hours per week for 40 or more weeks per year.

BGCB may require all participants to sign liability waivers depending on the nature of the activities on site.  Lessee is responsible for police details when the participant capacity is 100 persons or more. 

 

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of your estimated rental fee will be required to reserve your date(s). If the Lessee cancels agreement within 30 days of the first date booked, Lessee will pay 50% of the total specified Facility Charges.  BGCB may waive this provision if the event can be rescheduled to a mutually acceptable date.

 

Insurance requirements: 

  • General Liability coverage with $2,000,000 general aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence limit, insuring against claims involving bodily injury, including death, property damage and loss of use;

  • Automobile Liability insurance with a combined single limit of $500,000 covering the use of all owned, non-owned and hired automobiles;

  • Crime coverage; and Workers’ Compensation. 

The certificate should be issued naming Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, its Directors, Overseers, employees, agents and affiliates as additional insured.
