2011 Race was 20 runners short of a sell-out, so register early!

Registration will be capped at 1,750 Runners

Important Information:  

- Race starts and ends at South Boston     Boys & Girls Club

- 11 AM start before Southie Parade (1 PM)

- Electronic bib-tag chip timing

- POWERADE Sports drink at the finish

- Food and refreshments

- Fun & festive atmosphere

- Official long-sleeve cotton race shirts designed by the Dropkick Murphys for the first 600 to register. A limited number of shirts will be for sale on race day.

Parking:

Parking is always an adventure in Southie, especially on Race/Parade Day, but the area around West 1st Street / East 1st Street / D Street / E Street often has options. We will update runners via email and website as more options become available, but public transportation is always recommended.

Public Transportation:

The Club is a 10-minute walk from Andrew or Broadway Stations on the Red Line.

From Andrew Station, walk up Dorchester Street to West 6th Street (take a left).  From Broadway Station, walk up W. Broadway to F Street (take a right). 

The #11 Bus stops in front of the Club, but its route will be diverted as race time approaches.

Early Number Pick-Up (at Boys & Girls Club):

Friday           March 16       6 PM - 8 PM

Saturday      March 17      10 AM - 2 PM  

Course:

The 5K Race starts and ends at the South Boston Boys & Girls Club, located at 230 West 6th Street. 

The route goes down East Broadway, around Farragut Statue (at the beach), returns back up East Broadway to West Broadway, left on E Street, left on West 6th Street to the finish.

There is a slight hill in front of the Club, and two decent hills on East Broadway (each of which you run twice).
