Tara comes to BGCB from Horizons for Homeless Children, Boston’s largest agency supporting children experiencing homelessness, where she worked as part of the Executive Team as Chief of Advancement & Strategic Partnerships, driving fundraising to new heights. In her role, Tara drove 67% annual fund growth and raised an unprecedented $60+ million for capital and annual projects to serve 30% more families. Additionally, she improved communications strategy, executed a three-year strategic plan across the agency to build stronger outcomes, and successfully built relationships with leading foundations to increase funding opportunities and leverage partnerships with museums, hospitals, and nonprofits leading to best-in-class programming.

Tara also managed Horizons’ Playspace program, which provides play opportunities for children living in shelters statewide. Previously, Tara was at Dedham Country Day and Harvard Law School, where she was a key member of a leadership team that designed and executed a record-breaking $476 million campaign.
