For 115 years, young people have walked into the Yawkey Club of Roxbury carrying all kinds of hopes, questions, challenges, and promise. Inside, they found more than programs. They found people who believed in them. They found encouragement when they needed it most, opportunities they may not have imagined for themselves, and a place that felt steady in a world that often was not.

For many families, the Yawkey Club of Roxbury is woven into the story of growing up. Generations have come through its doors, each leaving with memories, relationships, and lessons that stayed with them long after childhood. In a city that has changed in countless ways over more than a century, the Club has remained a constant: anchored in Roxbury, shaped by community, and committed to helping young people discover who they are and who they can become.

Now, as the Yawkey Club of Roxbury embraces its 115th anniversary, the Club is proud to launch 115 for 115: 1 Club. 1 Legacy. 5 Generations.

This initiative is both a celebration and a commitment. It honors five generations of young people, families, staff, and community partners built, while investing in what comes next.

From now through September 30, 2026, 115 for 115 will tell the real story of the Club through 115 meaningful moments. Some will be joyful and public: youth performances, family nights, community celebrations. Others will be quieter, found in alumni reflections, member artwork, and the everyday experiences that reveal what this place means to the people who know it best.

Alongside these stories, Yawkey Club of Roxbury is raising $115,000 to help ensure the Club’s impact continues for generations to come, sustaining the academic support, wellness resources, workforce readiness programs, and mentorship that have long defined the Club experience.

“Every young person who walks through our doors carries unlimited potential,” said Corey Manning, Executive Director of the Yawkey Club of Roxbury. “For 115 years, the Club has been proof that with the right support, that potential becomes reality. I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it. Now I’m asking our community to help write the next chapter.”

Because 115 for 115 is about more than marking a milestone. It is about carrying forward a legacy of belief, belonging, and opportunity, so the next generation of young people can discover their potential and build a future of their own.
