More than 100 teen members from Clubs across the city attended The Geek Squad Academy Camp held at the Edgerley Family South Boston Club during April school vacation week. During the two-day camp, Geek Squad team members presented workshops on 3D design, HTML coding, pixel art and animation, and even a BB-8 Robot class to help teens learn how to program a robot to complete challenges and solve puzzles.

The basic principles of coding are part of the camp’s curriculum and provide teens with skills that lay the foundation for a variety of careers in technology, digital arts and more. The Geek Squad Academy’s visit to BGCB was the first stop on their summer tour where they will provide similar camps in 30 cities across the country.
